Africa is projected to be in 2040,
the world's fastest growing region with the largest workforce of 1.1 billion youth.
Currently Africa is facing an increasing internal need, but not limited,
to Infrastructure, Healthcare, Finance, Telecommunication, Consumer-oriented manufacturing and Business-services.
Enterprises based in Africa need
Know-How, Technology, Machinery and Investment to serve this increasing demand.
Germany is one of the world's largest exporters and a proven leader in technology and industrialization, but has a little economic exchange with Africa.
MES & DAK Germany connects and intensifies economic exchanges between Germany's and Africa's players, with innovative, transparent and win-win business models.
How MES & DAK Corporation can contribute to foster economic exchanges between Germany and Africa?
This is the question, we have addressed to Prof. Dr. Andreas KÖNIG, Chair of Strategic Management, Innovation and Entrepreneurship at the University of Passau
Prof. Dr. KÖNIG welcomed this challenging question and suggested it as a topic for a Research Project, which kick started on April 26, 2017, at the University of Passau with 26 students, divided into six different working groups.
A first review took place on June 19, 2017 in Passau. Already, it was fascinating to observe the creative energy combined with a disciplined approach introduced by the students. In fact, they have carefully analyzed the topic from different angles.
Above all, one can witness their interest on the subject and their passion towards the associated issues, namely Platform, Data Management, Mobil App, Sustainable Development Goals, Fintech, Financial inclusion and Impact Investment.
''How many lives we can change if we succeed'' becomes more than a motivating idea, it turned out to be the project's mission.
Behind Prof. Dr. KÖNIG, there is a great team of research assistants which coordinated and advised the project team. Without the support of the research assistants, we will not be able to reach the current outcome. Meet the research assistants Mrs. Verena Komander and Mr. Heribert de Oliveira Kuhn.
Prof. Dr. Michael GRIMM, Chair of Economic Development at the University of Passau, will be acting as independent scientific advisor for MES & DAK Corporation on Evaluation topics.
